We built this motor temperature monitor with Senbrino on a GO-RP2350-CB04T04 board. It measures four temperature channels and controls relay outputs according to configured conditions. Temperature readings and alarm status are available over Modbus.

Hardware: GO-RP2350-CB04T04

GO-RP2350-CB04T04 is an RP2350 control board. This project uses the following configuration.

ComponentPurpose
Four temperature inputsMeasure motor temperatures with NTC and PT1000 sensors
Two relay outputsOvertemperature shutdown and alarms
RS485 and EthernetModbus communication with the host equipment
Touch LCDLocal monitoring and settings

Device functions

The device continuously measures four motor temperature channels and controls relay outputs according to the configured temperature conditions. It makes temperature readings and alarm status available over Modbus RTU/TCP.

The touch LCD shows current temperatures and a trend graph. Operators can change temperature thresholds on the administrator screen, and the device retains these settings after a power cycle.

Four temperature channels and a trend graph on the touch LCD

The screen shows readings and threshold conditions for T1 through T4, with the trend graph on the right. T4 has no sensor connected and displays no reading.

Configuration in Senbrino

We used ladder logic for relay control and C++ user code for temperature conversion and the display.

Relay control in ladder logic

The ladder program combines channel selection and temperature conditions to control OUT1 and OUT2.

OUT1 and OUT2 relay control. Each output has parallel branches for the individual channel conditions.
